Ft. Thomas Patio, Pergola Project — It’s Getting There!

Our current patio and pergola project is coming along great. The patio is almost complete and we are starting to construct the pergola.

The addition of this project has completely revamped the backyard of this home. It has made it more appealing to the eye, more functional in terms of entertaining a group of people and increased the value of the home.

One of the things that people usually overlook is the money that is spent on great landscaping design and construction has such an incredible ROI, or return on investment, that it is worth it financially to incorporate landscaping projects into your property.

Remember what the backyard of this property looked like soon after we got on site? Let us remind you.

Now, after about a week of decent weather and hard work, the project is really taking shape.

The pavers are in place and the sitting wall surrounding the patio has been built. Some work still needs to be done to finalize the wall and the two pillars that are peeking out behind the bush in the foreground.

Even without the pergola, this yard looks much better with the addition of the patio. We started the construction on the pergola, which will arch over the door entering the home. As of Thursday, that part of the project looks like this:

This picture provides a better look at the entrance to the patio from the yard. We are also very pleased with the way the steps turned out beneath the pergola. As you can see in the first image in this post, the steps were small. We built them out by incorporating pavers that were complimentary to those in the patio.

To this point, we are very happy with the way this project is turning out and we are so happy with how much the final product will bring to this client’s yard. This is a great example of perfect design and execution to maximize the client’s wants and needs.

Stay tuned for images from the final product, pergola and all!
